Attribute #10:Ā Self: Truth, Worth and Love

Explanation: Enlightening Leaders benefit by utilizing emotional intelligence to manage their own emotions and express sensitivity to theĀ  emotions of others. Consider emotions and feelings as energy. Life is energy movingā€¦ it is a natural state of being. If our energy is not moving, it becomes stuck and hinders our ability to access our EQ, vulnerability and humility.Ā

With emotional intelligence, leaders can navigate complex social situations, manage conflicts effectively, and inspire others by recognizing and understanding their emotional needs. By being attuned to the emotional dynamics of their team, Enlightening Leaders can promote engagement, morale, and productivity.Ā

Vulnerability and humility are essential qualities in effective leadership. These traits foster trust, collaboration, and authenticity, enabling leaders to connect more deeply with their teams and lead with greater emotional intelligence.

ā€œThe quality of your life is the quality of your emotions.ā€ Tony Robbins

Difference from Traditional Orthodoxy:Ā Traditional orthodoxy values IQ (Intellectual Intelligence) over EQ (Emotional Intelligence). Some may have even marginalized or dismissed the importance or value of EQ.

Traditionally orthodoxy has shown that vulnerability in a leader is a sign of weakness and/or creates a situation where others can use one's vulnerability against them.Ā

Traditional orthodoxy expects leaders to be highly confident, demonstrative and all knowing, the opposite of being humble.Ā Ā Ā Ā
